Thumbnail Title Description

Window to the Outback

Silverton is a ghost town in the middle of nowhere. The population of 50 caters to the tourists who wander out from Broken Hill. The occasion Hollywood director will arrive looking for a barren, inhospitable setting. Mad Max is a popular movie that was filmed here and you can see all the photos of the filming in the pub. , 6/13/2005

Outback Town

Silverton is a place where you can see the archetypal outback. The red dirt and bush grows with minimal water and in intense heat. There are very few trees (and shade) for a large expanse. , 6/13/2005

Outback Crow

This scene reminded me of stories told in White Cliff about the Outback summers. The summers get so hot and dry that crows will simply fall dead out of the trees., 6/13/2005

Wagon Wheel Bench

Alana is resting on a wagon wheel bench walking through the desert can be tiring!, 6/13/2005
