Thumbnail Title Description

Bike On Paper

The bike started out on paper, 12/20/2007

In The Raw

The frame after welding…, 12/20/2007

Seat Stays

The seat stays – after welding and before painting. I wasn’t prepared to make the switch to disc at build time, so Warwick kindly included some paragon brake bosses. The bike ended up with disc, but it is still best to have options., 12/20/2007

Dropouts

The Paragon dropouts work well for tuning in chain tension as well as allowing for a disc brake option., 12/20/2007

Head Tube

The head tube - from start to finish including the thylacine badge., 12/20/2007

Complete Bike

Paternity leave provided time to put the finishing touches on the bike. This shot was taken after the first ride around the neighbourhood and everything is dialled in., 12/20/2007

Singe Gear

The drive chain from the ‘ol Surly. The ACS claw freewheel (18-tooth) has since been replaced with White Industries Eno Dos 16/18. This will help me to ‘train up’ to 16-tooth on some of the more gnarly Sydney hills., 12/20/2007

Tiger Seat

The tiger seat is compliments of Alana’s eye for style and it fits nicely on a bike named after a tiger of a different breed., 12/20/2007
